Schedule your FREE 15-minute consultation here. Once you are an established patient, you will be able to schedule appointments via our client portal or by your practitioner.
The FREE 15-minute consultation is an appointment for a prospective client to ask a CFW practitioner questions about CFW and the services that will be provided. You will be able to share briefly your reason for seeking counseling or coaching, and you will learn more about whether our practitioners will be a good fit for you. This is not an opportunity for counseling. This appointment will occur via telephone or telehealth.
We have 2 types of appointments:
1. Discovery Appointments are typically 75-90 minutes in length. These appointments are for assessing, evaluating and developing a treatment plan. Your initial visit will be a Discovery Appointment. You may have a mid-treatment evaluation as well, depending on your needs and progress in sessions.
2. Wellness Appointments are scheduled for 50 minutes. These appointments are for returning clients who are working toward goals in counseling or coaching.
Yes, at this time, we have limited evening or weekend appointments available.
Appointments can be scheduled with as little as 24 hours notice, but no more than 1 month in advance.
All sessions with your CFW practitioner will take place through our HIPAA compliant telehealth platform called doxy.me. Your practitioner will email/text a link to the secure video, web-based platform prior to your first session.
Fees and Good Faith Estimate
The following is the fee structure for both counseling and coaching appointments. You have a right to a Good Faith Estimate as required by law. You and your practitioner will discuss your treatment plan during the Discovery Appointment and you may receive a more detailed estimate of the cost of services from CFW. Administrative, testing, and court fees will vary in cost and are not included in the Good Faith Estimate.
– Discovery Appointments: $150
– Wellness Appointments: $100

What to Expect from Counseling/Coaching:
Your initial appointment (aka Discovery Appointment) will include a review of signed documents as well as a thorough discussion of your reasons for counseling, goals for counseling and obstacles that you have encountered. This session is expected to last between 75-90 minutes.
Since each client comes with an individual set of concerns and goals, it is difficult to project the number of sessions it may take to expect to reach them. Some clients may benefit from as few as 8 sessions where others may need more.
Connected Family Wellness practitioners find that addressing the whole person is necessary for lasting change. Your practitioner may pull from a variety of techniques to propel you forward. Some of the techniques you may encounter are cognitive behavioral therapy, rational emotive behavioral therapy, attachment theory, narrative therapy, etc.
It is recommended to have weekly sessions for the first 4-6 weeks to have the effective support you need for making changes. Talk to your practitioner about how a change in attending sessions may affect your progress.

The practitioners at CFW use HIPPA compliant methods for securing health records, email and texting. Your practitioner will not accept social media requests for connection in order to protect your privacy.
